JEEP RENEGADE WARCAFT EDITION – CAR BUSINESS REVEAL

Jeep models lend themselves to dress up – Wrangler and Grand Cherokee have been pimped by hundreds if not thousands of aftermarket companies as well as the factory.

Limited Editions sell well in Australia and my former GM Cameron Semark was a master at putting the right stuff on the right vehicle. Jeep Renegade is now being manufactured in China and shortly after Jeep showcased a limited edition Renegade entitled Warcraft Edition.

Jeep has a history with console games, primarily with Wrangler and the Special Ops Edition so this Renegade should come as no surprise. The only question well worth asking is whether it will find its way to Australia. I’m sure that the Australian Jeep dealers would embrace the concept as they need every little bit of help they can receive to boost a flagging sales volume this year.

With the vehicle’s local production commencing during the same month in which the international motor show was held, the Jeep Renegade was a special product for Jeep at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). The company showcased the Jeep Renegade Warcraft edition and Jeep Renegade Trailhawk variants in its booth. Thanks to my colleagues at Indian Auto Blog for the copy that follows.

Jeep Renegade Warcraft edition

The Jeep Renegade Warcraft edition celebrates the upcoming fantasy movie Warcraft (based on the Warcraft video game series) with a special exterior and interior theme. On the outside, the Warcraft edition features dual-tone white-blue paint scheme.

The bonnet has a blue paint and features the Lion Shield which is the “Symbol of the strength of Azeroth (a fictional world in the Warcraft video game series)”. The Lion Shield is also seen on the blue door mirrors and on the quarter panels. Blue accents on several other parts, golden stripes, ‘Warcraft’ branding on the door panels and “Fight For The ALLIANCE’ lettering round up the noteworthy touches.

Inside, Jeep has used a brown-white theme and given orange accents on some elements on the dashboard and door panels and also in the seat covers.
